Making the most of beautiful views of the water and nearby fishing village Crosshaven, the kitchen, living room and cosy den can be found on the 1st floor, while the three of the house’s four tranquil bedroom’s are to be found downstairs on the ground floor. Beautiful armchairs placed in the bay window of the living room supply the perfect nook for readers and adventure planners alike, while the small terrace surrounded by apple trees and lavender is ideal for morning coffee or a moonlit glass of wine.

Located 25 minutes from Cork City, Heron’s Rest is an expertly appointed 4 bedroom family destination with sophistication and calm at its core. Benefitting from lush woods to the rear and the sea to the front, the house follows an unmistakable coastal-chic aesthetic of clean lines, lavish furniture and a soothing palette, serving as a restful oasis while the forests, sea and gardens that surround it captivate the five senses.

Serenity is to be found in plentiful supply in Currabinny. As one of Cork’s most exclusive enclaves, Heron’s Rest benefits from a maritime tranquility only disturbed by birds, the distant chug of fishing boats and the bells of St Brigit’s Church.
Those with a hunger for the great outdoors will feel right at home in Heron’s Rest. The calm waters of the estuary make for excellent swimming, and are accessible at the end of the drive. Furthermore, the house boasts private access to the Currabinny Woods: an 80 acre expanse of woodland trails through diverse species of trees and remnants of Bronze Age habitation.
The house is adorned throughout with the work of Irish artists and photographers, as well as the country’s best loved designers.
